It depends on the product and on the recipient.
Flowerbox: yes, but only with GLS
GLS delivers to hospitals, care homes, assisted living facilities, schools and hotels during office hours, Tuesday to Friday. The flowers are usually left at the reception desk. DAO and Airmee don't deliver to institutions, and none of the couriers deliver to institutions at weekends.
Florist bouquet: usually yes
A local florist can deliver to hospitals and care homes, provided the recipient is allowed to receive flowers.
Check first that flowers are allowed
Not all wards accept flowers. Some hospital wards don't allow them at all, for hygiene reasons for instance. Check with the ward before you order, so the flowers don't arrive for nothing.
State where the recipient is
Write the following in the "Information to florist" field:
- Ward
- Entrance or building
- Floor or room number
A large hospital site can consist of many buildings, and the delivery driver isn't in a position to go searching. Without clear details the delivery risks failing.
Delivery times
Deliveries to institutions take place during office hours on weekdays. The flowers are often received at the reception desk or by staff, not by the recipient themselves.
